I desperately wanted to create a mermaid sculpture, but inspiration just wouldn't come. That is, until one night, when I had a profound realization that my sculpture, named Sirius, was truly connected to the star Sirius… At that moment, with an intuitive movement, I sketched an abstract mermaid on a piece of paper. The next day, I began making the sculpture. After a two-month creative process, I finally finished it. Its name was “Sirena”…until that moment… Years ago, in a book given to me in connection with my passion for the seas and stars, the Dogon tribe was mentioned. This African tribe knew, centuries before modern astronomy, that Sirius was a triple star system, and they knew about Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons. When asked how they acquired this knowledge, their answer was fascinating: “We learned it from our ancestors.” ​ Months after the sculpture was completed, the Dogon people reappeared, and this time, what I learned revealed the depth of everything once again. “The Dogon people spoke of a race of amphibians, sea creatures, called Nommo, who came from Sirius. These beings were not only present in Dogon legends, but also in the Akkadian, Babylonian, Sumerian, and even Egyptian mythology, depicting the goddess Isis as a mermaid associated with Sirius!” At that moment, I understood once again; Isis was not just a statue; she was the very embodiment of an intuitive journey, a divine memory woven with stars and ancient wisdom. Because there was NO COINCIDENCE…
