
S. Bülent Sancar (b. 1973, Istanbul) is a contemporary sculptor whose work explores the intersections of mythology, ancient civilizations, oceanic memory, and cosmic symbolism.
After graduating from the Department of Ceramics and Glass at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, he continued his studies in Italy at the University for Foreigners of Siena. In 2004, he participated in the world’s first underwater ceramic exhibition, Kiln Under the Sea, which later traveled to Berlin.
Since 2014, Sancar has been working with advanced composite materials at METYX Composites in Manisa, where he initiated The Atlantis Series—an ongoing body of large-scale sculptures inspired by lost civilizations, archetypal memory, and the connection between the depths of the ocean and outer space.
His works have been exhibited internationally in Turkey, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, and Germany, including presentations at MIART Gallery in London, the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul, and the Natural History Museum in London.
Sancar lives and works between Istanbul and Manisa, Türkiye.
